The event, which was held in the lobby of the Gateway Arcade, Harbour City, attracted over a hundred Sunrider China ABOs and Sunrider Hong Kong IBOs, who came in support of Drs. Chen and their charity work. Prior to the ceremony, Dr. Chen gave a short speech expressing how happy and excited he was to work with UNICEF and how he hopes everyone will endeavor to do more for children. To conclude, he wished everyone better health and a better life, and reaffirmed his support of the “Say Yes for Children” program.
During the donation ceremony, Drs. Chen presented a check to UNICEF representatives, namely Aaron Kwok, ambassador of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF, and known as the “King of Pop” in Asia; and Leonie Ki and Maggie Koong, members of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF. In return, these representatives presented a certificate of appreciation to Drs. Chen, recognizing them for their humanitarian work. The event came to a close with Drs. Chen, Aaron Kwok, and the committee members leaving impressions of their hands on commemorative plaques, symbolizing their continuing commitment to support the rights of children.
