Hi everyone! Now that we have almost 2,000 Facebook fans, I wanted to post our “Six Be’s” for using social media.
At Sunrider, we enjoy interacting with our business owners and customers through social media. We also encourage you to post content, experiences, photos, etc. on our social media websites, your own sites, and other people’s sites. When you post, please adhere to these few guidelines:
- Be gracious. Create a positive atmosphere. Sometimes, people will disagree with you, but you should refrain from engaging in “flame” wars. If someone makes a negative comment about Sunrider, don’t keep arguing or responding because you won’t change his or her mind.
- Be smart. Think before you post. Posts, pictures, and comments are indexed by search engines and could “live forever.” You don’t want to write or post something that you later regret. Also, if you have a shipping problem or product issue, don’t post about it (which will also get picked up by search engines). Instead, call customer service.
- Be clean. Don’t use profanity or post anything vulgar.
- Be true. We want you to share your experiences and thoughts on Sunrider. Just make sure you represent yourself and your experiences truthfully. Don’t post content that’s false, gossipy, or misleading about yourself, the company, or someone else.
- Be friendly. Add links to Sunrider sites, but don’t try to push products or make sales pitches. Social media is about creating friendships and relationships first. If you wouldn’t say something in person to someone, then don’t post it online. Also, update your content frequently and respond to others—friendships can become stagnant without constant maintenance.
- Be careful. We are happy you love our products and they work for you. However, don’t make medical claims or prescribe products. It can lead to serious trouble. All of us must comply with longstanding government regulations regarding product claims.
Wendy
